I’m James.
I was most recently an Engineering Director at Meta, where I ran data infrastructure and developer tool organizations, the company’s well-known open source program, and lots of other bits and pieces. Previously my career comprised startups, industry consortia, and telecoms infrastructure.
These days, I’m living a life of adventure, sailing a Garcia Exploration 45 called Scout.
I’m still hacking when the wind isn’t blowing! My most recent project is TinyBase, a reactive data store for local‑first apps.
